NEW AGE E-MOBILITY

We hear more and more about electric mobility or e-mobility and how it can revolutionize our lives. With this expression, we mean to refer to vehicles, and to all related infrastructures, which use electricity as the main source of energy instead of the one used up to now. The use of electricity as a primary source to generate energy is made possible by the presence of special batteries, capable of storing it. The definition includes not only electric cars but also two-wheeled vehicles, such as electric scooters or electric bicycles, which are now becoming more and more common. In our case, the pedal assisted bicycle is a bike that adds that of an engine to the muscular propulsive action. In the past it was common to use a combustion engine, while in recent years the engines are purely electric. The pedal assisted bicycle in this configuration is very silent, has no polluting emissions during operation and ensures a few tens of km of autonomy using the motor assistance. The Highway Code contemplates Ebike as bicycles in all respects, usable without the need for registration, insurance, license plate and license, as well as being able to use them safely on cycle paths. Electric bicycles, those with an auxiliary engine with higher power and which “replace” pedaling, do not comply with these directives and are subject to the approval of two-wheeled vehicles, with all related charges.
